At TDX we know the importance of high quality APET sheet for thermoforming applications, both in terms of packaging aesthetics and efficient processing. With non-renewable resources becoming increasingly scare, the environmental impact of packaging is now a major consideration for retailers, consumers, food packers/processors and thermoformers. That’s why TDX has developed Recoupet.
Recoupet is a 90% recycled content RPET sheet specifically formulated for the thermoforming market.
The recycled content is a combination of Superclean post consumer PET pellet derived from PET bottles and post trade (thermoforming) recyclate.
• Recoupet is manufactured using high IV post consumer feedstock to ensure good processing and cutting characteristics.
• Recoupet also incorporates subtle optical enhancers to offset discolouration caused by the use of recycled material.
• Recoupet has been fully and independently certified for direct food contact.
• Recoupet is available with master-batch anti-block for heat-seal applications and anti-mist/fog treatment.
• Recoupet is manufactured in an accredited BRC/IOP facility to the strictest quality standards

Recycled Amorphous Polyethylene Therephthalate (A-PET)
Description:
Co-extruded APET with anti-block by means of masterbatch or silicone coating.
Minimum 50% Post Consumer PET content.
Post consumer content is post consumer PET bottles Supercleaned by URRC or Vacurema process.
Anti-static treated with bath applied solution.
Food Contact:
Recoupet is suitable for direct food contact with foodstuffs in accordance with 2002/72/EEC. Please refer to accompanying food migration certificate.
This regulation requires that no plastic material shall be capable of transferring its constituents to food with which it may come into contact in quantities exceeding the appropriate limit. For the material the appropriate limit is 10mg/dm2.
